Late Night Thoughts Before an Online Exam
A friend told me the other day that he searched “Take my proctored history exam” at almost 2 a.m. Not because he was lazy, honestly. He was just stressed out and completely overwhelmed. I think a lot of students quietly reach that point at some stage.
History sounds easy to people until you’re sitting there trying to remember dates, events, names, and long explanations all at once. Add a strict online proctoring system, and the pressure gets even worse. Some students freeze before they even start the exam.
What helped him eventually wasn’t avoiding the class. It was finding better study habits and talking openly about burnout instead of pretending everything was fine. I feel like more students deal with this than anyone admits. College pressure can really build up quietly over time.
