MSCW Crafting Materials Guide With U4N Storage Tips

Starting a new character in MSCW can make every drop feel valuable, especially when your supply of MSCW Mesos is still small. During the first few levels, selling ordinary monster drops is a practical way to afford potions and other basic supplies. The problem starts when players continue selling everything without checking whether those materials have a crafting purpose later.

With the custom crafting system in MSCW, building a useful material stockpile can save a surprising amount of money. Having enough MSCW Mesos is helpful, but keeping the right ores, jewels, and monster drops can be just as important. Instead of treating your inventory as a temporary collection of junk, it helps to think about which materials could support your equipment and profession progression.

When To Stop Selling Everything

Selling low-value drops during levels 1 to 10 is not necessarily a bad idea. At that stage, your character needs immediate funds, and most of the materials you collect are not yet useful to your current progression.

Once you approach levels 20 to 25, however, it becomes worthwhile to slow down and examine your drops. Ores, jewels, skins, ribbons, branches, and certain monster materials can become important crafting ingredients.

This does not mean you should save every single item. Storage space still matters. The better approach is to separate genuine vendor trash from materials that have a clear role in crafting.

Start With Bronze And Iron

Smithing forms an important part of the crafting system because raw ores can be processed into ingots. Those ingots can then become ingredients for other professions.

Bronze Ore and Iron Ore are particularly useful early materials. Bronze and Iron can be processed into ingots, and combinations of these materials can support the production of Screws. Screws are useful components for various physical equipment pieces, making the basic ores more valuable than their NPC selling price suggests.

Snails and related early monsters can provide convenient sources of useful materials while you are already gaining experience. This makes early farming more efficient because you are working toward both character progression and future crafting needs.

Save Higher Tier Ores

As your character moves beyond the beginner areas, start paying closer attention to Steel, Mithril, Orihalcon, and Silver Ores.

These materials are more closely connected to mid-tier equipment and can become harder to replace when you suddenly need them. Selling a useful stack for quick money can feel good at the time, but having to buy the same materials later can cost much more.

A simple storage habit helps here. Keep separate groups for basic ores and higher-tier ores, then periodically check whether your current profession plans actually require them.

Keep Useful Monster Drops

The custom crafting system also changes how players should view ordinary Etc. items.

Animal Fur Bundles from Pigs and Ribbon Pigs can support Tailoring through thread and cloth production. Pig's Ribbons are another useful Tailoring material, while Tree Branches and Firewood from Stumps and Dark Stumps are valuable for Woodcrafting.

Stiff Feathers also deserve attention because they can be combined with processed wood for ammunition production. Skins from creatures such as Jr. Necki, Ligator, and Croco have applications in Leatherworking and Arcforge.

Even Red Snail Shells can have a purpose in baseline Tailoring recipes. None of these items needs to be collected without limits, but selling every one immediately is an easy way to create a crafting shortage later.

Match Materials To Your Profession

Your class should influence what you store.

Warriors can naturally focus on Smithing and Weaponcrafting, making ores and physical crafting components useful priorities. Thieves can benefit from Weaponcrafting and Leatherworking, while Archers have good reasons to develop Woodcrafting and Leatherworking.

Mages can concentrate more heavily on Tailoring and Arcforge, so jewels and cloth-related materials deserve more storage space.

This approach is especially useful for solo players. You do not have to become an expert in every profession. Choosing a smaller group of useful materials makes your storage easier to manage and reduces unnecessary farming.

Share Resources With Friends

A regular party can make crafting even more efficient.

If several friends are playing together, there is little reason for everyone to spend time leveling every profession. One player can concentrate on Smithing and Weaponcrafting while another handles a different crafting branch.

The group can then funnel Bronze Ore, Iron Ore, Screws, or other relevant materials toward the player responsible for that profession. In return, that crafter can provide useful components or equipment to the group.

This kind of specialization can save both farming time and storage space while giving everyone a clearer role.

Watch Your Crafting Level

There is also a reason not to rush through crafting levels simply because you have a large material pile.

Crafting levels 2 through 10 follow a character-level requirement based on the level-five-times rule. For example, reaching Crafting Level 5 requires your character to be Level 25.

That means materials gathered early can sometimes be more useful sitting safely in storage than being immediately consumed. Before crafting, check whether your character actually meets the relevant requirement and whether the resulting item helps your current progression.

Build A Stockpile That Serves You

A useful crafting stockpile is not about owning the largest possible collection. It is about keeping the materials you are realistically going to use.

If you already understand your profession direction and are missing a particular piece of equipment, you can also buy MSCW Items when gathering the required materials yourself would slow down your progression.

The best long-term habit is simple: sell obvious junk early, keep useful crafting materials once you reach the mid-early game, and regularly clean your storage based on your profession choices. That balance lets your character keep more resources available without turning storage into a pile of items you never touch.
