U4GM Picks the Highest Rated Players in FC 27
Team of the Week 2 has arrived in FC 27 Ultimate Team, and there is more to consider than simply chasing the highest overall rating. Michael Olise sits at the top with a 91 rating, while Raphinha and Sophia Wilson follow on 89. Marquinhos and Mohamed Salah are both rated 88, and several lower-rated cards could still make a real difference depending on how your squad plays. Before you spend your FC 27 Coins, take a close look at the stats, positions, and roles you actually need.
Olise Gives Attacking Midfields More Control
Michael Olise is the standout card in this release, but his appeal is not only the 91 OVR number. He has 84 Pace, 84 Shooting, 90 Passing, and 92 Dribbling, which makes him a strong option for players who like to build attacks patiently. You can use him on the right and move inside when the full-back follows the winger. That gives him room to combine with a central midfielder or slip a pass into the striker. He is not the sort of player you need to force into every sprint. Keep the ball moving, turn quickly, and let his close control create the opening.
Raphinha and Wilson Can Change the Shape of a Match
Raphinha and Sophia Wilson both bring 92 Pace, but they do not have to be used in exactly the same way. Raphinha's special card is listed as a striker, which gives you another choice when setting up the front line. He also has 87 Shooting, 87 Passing, and 88 Dribbling, so he can contribute beyond running behind the defence. Wilson offers 88 Shooting and 89 Dribbling alongside her pace. You will get more from both players if you use short bursts instead of holding sprint from the first touch. A quick stop, a change of direction, or a diagonal run can be enough to pull a centre-back out of position.
Marquinhos Brings Reliability at the Back
Marquinhos is the highest-rated defender in this week's Team of the Week, with an 88 OVR and a useful spread of 76 Pace, 90 Defending, and 81 Physical. He should suit players who want a centre-back that reads danger well and does not rely on reckless tackles. His pace is solid rather than exceptional, so think about the partner beside him. A quicker defender can cover space behind the line while Marquinhos handles positioning, interceptions, and the first challenge. That pairing can feel much more dependable than using two centre-backs with similar strengths.
Lower-Rated Cards Still Have a Place
The cards rated from 82 to 86 deserve attention too. Antoine Semenyo has an 86 rating and can add direct running to an attack. Corentin Tolisso offers 82 Defending and 84 Physical, making him useful when your midfield needs more strength without losing passing options. Alberto Moleiro has 88 Pace and 86 Dribbling, which fits a quicker approach on the flank or through the middle. Vedat Muriqi brings 85 Shooting and 85 Physical for players who prefer a bigger striker. Jonathan David is rated 82, sharing that mark with Miguel Gutiérrez and Lorenzo Palmisani, so the final place is tied rather than held by one player.
Build Around the Weakest Area of Your Squad
Overall rating should only be the starting point. Check whether a player improves your pace, finishing, passing, dribbling, defending, or physical presence, then compare that with your formation. A highly rated winger may not help much if your midfield keeps losing the ball. Likewise, a strong striker will not solve a defence that leaves too much space behind it. Team of the Week 2 entered packs on September 23, with the next release scheduled for September 30. That weekly rhythm gives you time to review your squad, hold resources when needed, and make upgrades that solve a real problem instead of adding another similar card.
