United Airlines Seat Upgrade Options

Passengers may be able to choose Economy Plus for extra legroom or purchase an upgrade to a higher cabin, such as United Premium Plus or United Polaris business class, on eligible flights. MileagePlus members may also qualify for mileage-based upgrades or PlusPoints upgrades, subject to applicable rules and availability.

How Much Does a United Airlines Seat Upgrade Cost?

Upgrade prices vary depending on your route, travel date, original fare, cabin, and seat availability. Some upgrades can be purchased with money, while eligible upgrade requests may use miles or PlusPoints. Check your booking for the latest price and available options.

Important Upgrade Policy Details

Keep in mind that submitting an upgrade request does not guarantee confirmation.
