Winadda brings you the latest match report from the third T20I between India Women and Zimbabwe Women in Raipur. India produced another dominant performance, posting 216 for 7 before restricting Zimbabwe to 124 for 7 to secure a comprehensive 92-run victory and complete a clean sweep.

The ind vs nz fixture is a separate matchup, while this contest saw India and Zimbabwe face each other in the final game of their T20I series.

Harmanpreet Kaur Leads India to Dominant Win

Harmanpreet Kaur delivered a vintage performance, smashing an unbeaten 91 from just 41 balls to power India to one of their highest T20I totals. Her innings included 10 fours and five sixes as India reached 216 for 7, their joint-third-highest total in the format.

Shafali Verma continued her outstanding run of form with an aggressive 69 from 37 deliveries. She and Harmanpreet added 84 runs together, giving India's innings the momentum it needed after the early wickets.

Zimbabwe showed flashes of quality in the field and produced several excellent catches, but India's batting depth proved too strong. Zimbabwe eventually finished on 124 for 7, with Sharne Mayers scoring 60 and Beloved Biza contributing 44.

Shafali Verma Continues Excellent Form

India opted to bat first, with captain Smriti Mandhana explaining that the decision would give the middle order valuable time in the middle. Mandhana did not bat, while Anushka opened alongside Shafali Verma.

Shafali initially took time to settle before attacking Tendai Makusha in the second over, launching the bowler over deep backward square leg for a six. Anushka soon found her rhythm as well, striking Nomvelo Sibanda for consecutive boundaries.

The pair brought up a 50-run opening partnership in the fifth over, but Zimbabwe soon found a breakthrough when Nyasha Gwanzura produced an excellent leaping catch at midwicket to dismiss Anushka after a 20-ball stay.

Niki Prasad joined Shafali at No. 3 but was unable to stay for long. Loryn Phiri completed another impressive catch off Gwanzura's bowling after Prasad sliced a delivery outside off.

Shafali refused to slow down despite losing partners. She smashed three sixes and a four in a sequence of five deliveries before reaching her 23rd T20I half-century from only 26 balls. It was also her ninth fifty of the year.

Vintage Harmanpreet Kaur Takes Center Stage

Harmanpreet had scored just one run in the first T20I and did not get an opportunity to bat in the second. When she finally came to the crease in the third game, she made her opportunity count.

Coming in at No. 4, Harmanpreet began cautiously and struck only one boundary during her first 12 deliveries. She then shifted gears dramatically, taking 20 runs from Chigora's over with two fours and two sixes.

After Shafali was dismissed, Harmanpreet continued to attack the Zimbabwe bowling. She struck three boundaries in Sibanda's over while bringing up her 19th T20I fifty.

Her biggest blows came against Beloved Biza. Harmanpreet danced down the track to launch an 82-metre six over long-on before producing an even bigger 89-metre maximum.

India lost several wickets around her, with Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma and Arundhati Reddy departing cheaply. Harmanpreet entered the final over on 81 and added another 10 runs to finish unbeaten on 91 from 41 balls.

Zimbabwe Struggle Under Huge Run Chase

Zimbabwe faced an enormous target and immediately came under pressure. Gaud struck with the first delivery of the innings when Kelis Ndhlovu sliced a wide delivery towards short extra cover, where Niki Prasad completed a sharp diving catch.

Nandani Sharma then added another breakthrough in the second over, having Modester Mupachikwa caught behind for just one.

Beloved Biza and Sharne Mayers attempted to rebuild the innings. Rather than taking unnecessary risks, they concentrated on rotating the strike and gradually building a partnership.

Mayers eventually began finding the boundary, hitting two sixes and a four as the pair brought up their 50-run partnership. Zimbabwe reached 62 for 2 after 10 overs, but the required run rate had already climbed to 15.50.

Sharne Mayers Provides Brief Resistance

Mayers briefly gave Zimbabwe hope during the middle overs. She attacked Prema Rawat, who replaced N Shree Charani for this match, hitting two sixes and a four in the over.

She reached her half-century from 45 deliveries in the 14th over, but her resistance ended shortly afterwards. Mayers attempted another big shot against a full, flighted delivery outside off but miscued the ball while reaching for it.

Her dismissal effectively ended Zimbabwe's hopes of mounting a serious challenge.

Biza continued fighting and finished with 44, but wickets fell regularly around her. Arundhati Reddy and Deepti Sharma claimed one wicket each, while Nandani Sharma struck twice in the final over.

Zimbabwe eventually finished on 124 for 7, falling 92 runs short.

India Complete Clean Sweep

India's 92-run victory capped an impressive series performance against Zimbabwe. Harmanpreet's unbeaten 91 and Shafali's explosive 69 provided the foundation for a huge total, while the bowlers maintained pressure throughout the chase.

Nandani Sharma finished with three wickets for 18 runs, while Biza's 3 for 50 was the pick of Zimbabwe's bowling figures despite India's commanding score.

Winadda highlights India's all-round dominance in Raipur, with Harmanpreet Kaur's match-winning innings and Shafali Verma's continued form standing out as the major talking points from the clean sweep.
