U4GM POE2 Farming Tips: A 10-Minute Side Farm Worth Trying
Finding ways to earn extra POE2 Currency without interrupting your regular Atlas progression is a great way to improve your endgame economy. In Path of Exile 2, one interesting strategy is to craft and sell valuable Waystones in short sessions. Instead of spending hours in your hideout, you can prepare a batch of items, list them on the market, and return to mapping. The entire process can take around 10 minutes once you understand the steps. This method is designed as a side farm that generates additional income while you focus on other activities.
Why Waystone Crafting Is Worth Trying
Waystones are essential for endgame mapping, so players regularly look for versions with useful modifiers. Items with high Waystone Drop Chance and Monster Effectiveness can be particularly attractive because they help players improve their mapping experience.
The main advantage of this strategy is its relatively simple crafting process. You do not need to spend a long time working on one item. Instead, you prepare multiple Waystones and apply the same crafting steps to the entire batch. This also helps reduce the impact of random corruption outcomes.
Although the original method refers to crafting keystones at the beginning, the actual process focuses on Tier 15 Waystones. For this strategy, prepare around 50 uncorrupted Tier 15 Waystones. Normal, Magic, and Rare versions can all be used. Their purchase prices and market transaction fees may differ, so compare the total cost before buying. Normal or Magic Waystones can be convenient choices if you want to save gold on transaction fees.
Step One: Upgrade All Waystones to Rare
The first goal is to maximize the number of modifiers on every Waystone. If you have Normal or Magic versions, use Orbs of Alchemy to upgrade them to Rare. Applying the currency across the batch can save time compared with crafting each item separately.
Once all the Waystones are Rare, use Exalted Orbs to add modifiers until each item reaches its maximum modifier count. In the example, this stage requires 92 Exalted Orbs, worth approximately 0.16 Divine Orbs at the quoted exchange rate.
At this point, the Waystones have enough modifiers, but they may not yet have the stats that buyers want. The next stage uses Omens to target more desirable results.
Step Two: Prepare the Three Required Omens
The two main modifiers to target are Waystone Drop Chance and Monster Effectiveness. Higher values can make a Waystone more appealing to players who want better rewards from their Atlas runs.
The crafting setup requires three types of Omens:
-
Omen of Chaotic Rarity
-
Omen of Chaotic Quantity
-
Omen of Chaotic Monsters
For a batch of 50 Waystones, prepare 50 of each type. In the demonstrated session, the total cost of these Omens is approximately 78 Divine Orbs. Since this is the largest expense, it is important to compare market offers and avoid overpaying. Waiting for a better exchange rate can make a noticeable difference to your final costs.
Activate all three Omens before applying a Chaos Orb to a Waystone. Test the setup on the first item to confirm that the expected modifiers appear. The demonstrated result is approximately 85% Waystone Drop Chance and 86% Monster Effectiveness.
Once you have confirmed the result, repeat the process for the remaining Waystones. Be careful not to apply multiple Chaos Orbs to the same item. The Omens are consumed when the Chaos Orb is used, so check each Waystone before moving on to the next one.
Step Three: Use Vaal Orbs for the Final Upgrade
With the desired modifiers in place, the final crafting stage is corruption. Apply a Vaal Orb to each Waystone and see what results you get. Some Tier 15 Waystones may become Tier 16, creating potentially valuable items that can sell for considerably more.
However, corruption is random, and there is no guaranteed outcome. This is why processing a larger batch can be more practical than crafting only 10 items. More attempts give you a better opportunity to obtain a mixture of valuable and ordinary results, but they do not eliminate the risk of losing currency.
In the example, six Waystones successfully became Tier 16. Each was valued at around 400 Vaal Orbs, equivalent to approximately 5.5 Divine Orbs at the quoted rate. Several Tier 15 Waystones also received attractive prices, with some listed for 45–69 Chaos Orbs. Other Waystones with the target modifiers were valued at around 16 Chaos Orbs each.
Step Four: Organize Your Market Listings
After crafting, group similar Waystones together when listing them. Keep Tier 16 items in one section and organize Tier 15 Waystones according to their modifiers and asking prices. This makes your listings easier to browse and may encourage buyers to purchase several items at once.
In the demonstrated session, the six Tier 16 Waystones generated approximately 34.2 Divine Orbs in sales. The Tier 15 items contributed around 63.7 Divines, bringing the reported total sale value to 97.9 Divines.
The stated expenses included 76 Divines for Omens, approximately five Divines for Chaos Orbs, and 0.16 Divines for Exalted Orbs. That gives an estimated total investment of 81.16 Divines and a potential profit of approximately 16.74 Divines, based on the example's figures.
Is This Side Farm Worth Your Time?
This strategy is appealing because it combines a short crafting session with an opportunity to earn additional currency while continuing your Atlas progression. However, the reported prices and profit are based on one particular market snapshot. Exchange rates can change, listings may take time to sell, and unlucky Vaal Orb outcomes can reduce your returns. Always calculate your investment and consider the risks before crafting a large batch. Whether you prefer earning through trading or choose to Path of Exile 2 Currency for sale to support your progression, managing your resources carefully remains essential for long-term success in Path of Exile 2.
