People are always a bit suspicious when they see guest posts starting at $10. I get it. I was too. So let me be straight about what a cheap guest post can actually do, and where you need to spend more. I sell guest posts myself, along with a few other SEO services I'll link below, so you know where I'm coming from.

What it can do

A $10 post on a real, relevant site is a genuine link from a genuine website. For a small site, a new site or a local business, a handful of those adds up. They help Google understand what your site is about and who vouches for it.

The key word is real. A cheap post on a site with actual readers is fine. A cheap post on a site nobody visits is just noise. That's why my guest post service starting at $10 shows you the traffic before you buy, not after.

What it can't do

It won't push a hard keyword on its own. If you're up against big brands for a competitive term, you'll need stronger placements, more of them, and probably some extra power behind them.

That extra power is where PBN links come in for a lot of people, usually pointed at the guest posts rather than the main site. If you go that route, use PBN links with free indexing so you're not paying for links Google ignores.

Where cheap posts work best

Local businesses are the perfect fit. They don't need DA 90 links. They need a few relevant mentions and a strong local setup. In fact, for local, I'd put the Google Business Profile and citations before any guest post. My Google Maps listing setup and authority directory citations cover that side.

And the page has to be good

This bit catches people out. A cheap link pointed at a weak page does very little. A cheap link pointed at a genuinely useful page can do a lot. If your content needs work, sort that first, or get help from SEO content writers who actually research the topic.

My honest take

Cheap guest posts are a great tool when they're on real sites and pointed at good pages. They're a waste when they're not. The price isn't the problem. The site is what you need to check.
